Cinnamon for Diabetes

Studies have shown that 1/4 tsp. of cinnamon with good essential oils, can lower your blood sugar, cholesterol and fats by as much as 30 percent. It replaces salt in cooked oatmeal and is great on apples, in your coffee and in sweet and savory dishes.

In a study, published by Reuters Health, diabetics who incorporated one gram (less than 1/4 tsp.) into their diet every day for 40 days, experienced a decrease in blood sugar, cholesterol and blood fats. They also suggested that cinnamon could stave off the onset of type 2 diabetes for those at risk. Cinnamon provides compounds that make insulin more efficient and help fat cells recognize and respond to it. As an added bonus, cinnamon contains no added calories. Watkins cinnamon actually tastes sweet but there is no sugar added. It is actually the cinnamon oils without woody fillers that give the delicious taste.

If you wish to try it for yourself, go to www.watkinsonline.com and enter associate #375441. While you are at it, take note of all our wonderful natural products.

Cinnamon Test

Take the cinnamon test! You might think all spices are the same. Not so! When I first started with Watkins and the Summit Group, I got some Watkins cinnamon. I had heard that it was far superior to anything else you could buy in your local store but I always need to see for myself. I got out my brand and put some into my hand and smelled then tasted it. I then did the same with my new Watkins brand. I couldn't believe the difference! When my teenage son came home from school, I said I wanted him to do a blind taste test as he loves cinnamon. I had him close his eyes and put out his hands. I put a little my old brand in one hand and a little of Watkins in the other and told him he could open his eyes. He tasted the Watkins one first and said, "Mmm, tastes like cinnamon." He then tasted the other one, the one he previously enjoyed, and went running to the bathroom to spit it out. He said, "Yuk! It tastes so woody!"
I have told this story at trade fairs, etc. then let the customers try it. They can't believe it either. The Watkins brand keeps all the essential oils with no woody fillers like the typical cinnamon bought in the grocery story. Try it for yourself! www.watkinsonline.com and enter associate #375441

Garnish with chives, green onion and a light sprinkle of cheese just before serving.
Makes 12 stuffed potato halves.

Pure Peppermint Extract for Mice Control

If you are like me, you would hate to have a mouse in your house! I don't even like gerbils and hamsters as they are too much like mice for me. If you do have a mouse problem, a great natural solution is pure peppermint extract. Put a little on cotton balls and place them where mice have been seen. Dilute some extract with water and spray around the outside of your house and around any areas where mice could get in. Because mice hate peppermint, they will stay away. It is important to use pure peppermint however. I have it on good authority that the peppermint you buy in the store does not work as well as Watkins peppermint. For this and other great natural products go to www.watkinsonline and when prompted, put in associate #375441. Not only will you have a mouse-free home but a great smelling home too!

I'm just getting started with blogging and hope to convey my thoughts and help many get started in their own home based business.
